These days, it seems like every luxury brand has embraced the concept of the midsize SUV. These two-row models with seating for up to five passengers have become popular with so many drivers in the New York metro area that you can’t go for a drive on the New Jersey Turnpike without passing them coming and going. Two of the leading models are the Lexus RX and the Lincoln Nautilus. These offer drivers a sporty model with aerodynamic lines, an elegant interior, and the latest technological features. However, deciding which is right for you can be a little daunting.
At Lexus of Manhattan, we will help you find the model that is right for you. We are located right by the Lincoln Tunnel, which is why we are your Lexus dealer near Englewood. We offer the full lineup of Lexus models, including the 2024 Lexus RX. This gives you the ability to find the Lexus that is perfect for you and your busy lifestyle. Stop in today and see why your next SUV should be a Lexus RX.
Two Luxury Options
The Lexus RX represents the second year of the fifth generation of this venerable model that dates all the way back to 1999. In contrast, the Lincoln Nautilus is a relatively new name. Lincoln rebranded the MKX as the Nautilus in 2019 as part of the model's mid-cycle redesign, and the 2024 model represents the first year of a new generation. Nevertheless, both of these models represent solid options for Englewood drivers, giving you a very luxurious vehicle for commuting, daily driving, and weekend excursions.
Automakers always offer a number of different trim levels on each model. This gives you the ability to choose different performance, comfort, and convenience features. For example, some drivers want to pay more for things like all-wheel drive and an advanced audio system, while others prefer the improved fuel economy provided by front-wheel drive.
Lexus gives you more choices with the 2024 RX than you will find on the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus. Even though Lincoln has come out with a new Nautilus, it has only given drivers three trims to choose from. The Premiere is the base model, followed by the Reserve and the Black Label. All three trims give you the choice between a standard turbocharged engine and an optional hybrid powertrain.
This is a marked contrast to the 2024 Lexus RX. Lexus offers no fewer than 11 different trims for the RX model. The five trims with the RX 350 designations feature a conventional gas engine, while those with the RX 350h label are hybrids. The RX 450h+ is a new plug-in hybrid model, while the top trim RX 500h is a performance hybrid.
The other option that you get with the Lexus RX is the choice of front-wheel drive. While the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus only comes with all-wheel drive, Lexus gives you the option of deciding between front-wheel drive for improved fuel economy and all-wheel drive for better traction. These trim level and drivetrain options show that the folks at Lexus understand that not every Englewood driver has the same needs.
Lexus vs Lincoln Powertrains
The base engine in the 2024 Lexus RX is a 2.4L turbocharged I-4. This is the workhorse of the RX model, as it is featured on five different trims. It comes paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and produces a respectable 275 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque.
The RX 350h trims feature one of the three available hybrid powertrains. This uses a 2.5L I-4 and several electric motors, including an independent motor on the rear axle for electric all-wheel drive. The combination delivers 246 hp and 233 lb-ft of torque while getting an estimated 37 MPG in the city.
Lexus also offers two other hybrid powertrains for the 2024 RX. The RX 500h F Sport Performance has a 2.4L turbocharged I-4. This hybrid utilizes a six-speed automatic transmission, an interesting feature as most hybrids use some type of eCVT. This is a hybrid performance model for folks who have a need for speed. It produces 366 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque, making it capable of going from zero to 60 mph in a quick 5.9 seconds with a top speed of 130 mph.
The newest option you'll find in Lexus dealership showrooms is the RX 450h+ Luxury. This is the first plug-in hybrid offered for this model, allowing you to plug in to recharge the large 18.1 kWh battery pack. The powertrain is otherwise similar to the RX 350h, with a 2.5L I-4 engine. However, the more powerful motors and larger battery give you 304 hp and an estimated 35 miles of range on electric power alone.
In contrast, you only have two engine choices for the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus. The standard engine is a 2.0L turbocharged I-4 with an eight-speed automatic transmission. This provides 250 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque, which is slightly less torque than the base engine in the 2023 Nautilus.
The Lincoln Nautilus also offers a hybrid version with the same 2.0L turbocharged engine. This comes with a CVT and produces 300 hp. While this is more powerful than the hybrid powertrain in the RX 350h, it doesn’t match the RX 500h or RX 450h+. Also, Lincoln doesn’t offer the convenience of a plug-in hybrid model.

Standard and Available Technology Features
Both of these models offer a number of standard and available technology features to improve comfort, convenience, connectivity, and safety. For example, heated front seats come standard across the lineup for the Lexus RX and the Lincoln Nautilus, with heated outboard seats offered on a number of trims as an option. The same goes for a power liftgate to access the trunk, which is standard across both models, with a hands-free version offered as an option.
The Lexus RX features the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, while the Lincoln Nautilus has the Lincoln Co-Pilot360 Vision 2.2 system. These are platforms for each brand’s set of advanced driver assistance features. They are quite similar, as both models have a detection system to alert you of an imminent collision with a pedestrian or another vehicle, which also engages the emergency braking system. In addition, if you begin to drift out of your lane, the systems will alert you and use slight steering adjustments to get you back centered in the lane.
You will also get the brands' respective adaptive cruise control systems. This automatically adjusts your speed when the system detects slower traffic ahead. Lexus calls this All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Management, while Lincoln refers to this feature as Adaptive Cruise Control 2.0. Whichever vehicle you choose, you will get the assistance you need to safely get to wherever you and your passengers are going in your SUV.
Infotainment is one technological area with a key difference between these two models. The RX features the Lexus Interface. While lower trims have a 9.8-inch touchscreen display standard, you have the option of a 14-inch touchscreen on all but the base trim. In fact, this larger screen is a standard feature on all trims from the RX 350 Premium+ and up. In contrast, all of the Lincoln Nautilus trims have the Lincoln Digital Experience with an 11.1-inch touchscreen. Features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, built-in navigation, and wireless charging come standard on both the RX and Nautilus.
The 2024 Lexus RX also has a more extensive audio system than the Nautilus. All trims of the RX have a standard 12-speaker sound system, with a 21-speaker Mark Levinson audio system available as an option on all trims from the RX 350 Premium+ up. In contrast, the Lincoln Nautilus has a standard 10-speaker sound system, with 14-speaker and 28-speaker Revel Audio Systems available.
